  • anxiety
  • relationship problems
  • mood disorders such as depression and bipolar disorder
  • life transitions, such as job changes, relocation, marriage, divorce, transition to parenthood, and retirement
  • eating disorders
  • parenting and family issues
  • trauma, loss, and grief, including post-traumatic stress disorder
  • significant health or medical issues, such as insomnia, illness, or weight concerns
  • concerns around gender, sexuality, and sexual orientation.  I am an LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist and use she/ her pronouns.

My Approach
I believe a good therapeutic relationship is warm, nonjudgmental, supportive, and trusting.  I use evidence-based approaches when I can to provide well-researched and effective treatments.  I apply these approaches flexibly, depending on the needs of my clients and what seems to work best for them.  I view therapy as a collaborative process, and I work together with clients to clarify goals of treatment and rely on them for feedback as we work together.  I am trained in both cognitive-behavioral and insight-oriented treatments.   My training in evidence-based treatments includes, but is not limited to:
  • Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy for depression, anxiety, and eating disorders
  • Couples Therapy, including Integrative Behavioral Couples Therapy and sex therapy
  • Exposure Therapy for anxiety (including exposure and response prevention for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder)
  • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy
  • Brief psychodynamic treatments
  • Mindfulness-based therapies
  • Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I)
  • Cognitive Processing Therapy for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, children, and friends, as well as cooking, walking, reading, and travel.
